Free Beginner Typing Lesson On Numeric Keypad - And Play Typing Computer Games Too...

You can take a free beginner typing lesson here.

The below typing lesson for beginners will teach you how to type on the Numeric Keypad, which is on the right side of the keyboard.

It is good to learn typing on the Numeric Keypad too, so that you can type the numbers with one hand without looking at the keyboard. Use only the right hand when typing on the keypad.

(By the way, you can also learn to type with a Typing Tutor Program for beginner or advanced typers. Typing tutors include great beginner typing lessons and typing tests.

You can check out Great Typing Games, which makes it fun for beginners and advnanced typists to learn and practice touch typing.)

Here's the free beginner typing lesson on the numeric keypad:

Place your fingers on the home row (middle row)on the numeric keypad in the following order:

Thumb finger - on the 0

Index finger - on the 4

Middle finger - on the 5

Ring finger - on the 6

Little finger - on the Enter key

To type on the upper row, place your fingers in this order:

Index finger - 7

Middle finger - 8

Ring finger - 9

To type on the lower row - place them in this order:

Index finger - 1

Middle finger - 2

Ring finger - 3

This is the free beginner typing lesson on the Numeric Keypad. I'm glad that you've taken this typing lesson for beginners too, so ther you'll be able to time numbers fast and spare more precious time of your day.

Note: although this is a beginner typing lesson, you may find expert typists who fail to master this "extra." They've never learned keying on the keypad. It is a good thing, however, that you did learn it. For example, if you ever want to accept a typing job or data entry work, knowing how to type on the keypad may be a useful skill for your data entry or typing jobs.

Here's the link to the Typing Tutors again. They include beginner typing-lessons and typing tests, and are useful also for advanced typists.
