As I wrote here, online data entry jobs can be found on outsourcing sites.
Beware of illegitimate typing and dataentry ads out there. You may be scammed. Never trust ads promising to make a large sum of money quickly without much effort. They are usually too good to be true.
However, on outsourcing sites, such as RentACoder, as well as www.elance.com, as I wrote here, you may find listings of data entry and typing work that you can bid on if you possess the qualities and experience for these kinds of work.
Rentacoder is a popular site and many people are bidding and finding work there to be done.
Look for online data entry work, search and respond to listings of interest.
Mention your capabilities, expertise and competence. Compete with other bidders. (Be honest!)
Among other projects, you can search there for typing work too, or for other computer work.
Searching for keywords such as typing, transcription, typists, transcribe, etc., I found quite a few entries, including the below mentioned ones.
Wow! That blew me away. Can you type that fast? The project involved a transcription of a seminar recording video, including tens of document files to be created out of the video.
To do the math, that would employ you for quite a time, as even at the mentioned monstrous typing speed, it would require long hours and days of work.
Do your own search, you should find some good ones.
Why Not Use Your Typing Skills To Type Content-Pages for Yourself?
This can be your own website business!
Talking of typing up pages of content for websites of other people - why not do this for yourself and build your own business online by putting your typing skills to work?
You can type up many pages of content on a topic that you know and are passionate about - your hobby, experience, or something you are willing to research a bit.
This can make a nice online business, and you don't even have to worry about knowledge of building websites, html, web-design, etc.; if you know your field, and are ready to type pages of content about them, the rest can be done for you.
I personally think this is in fact one of the best ways to build an on line business.
You can read more about it here.
HOW IT WORKS
If you are ready to go search and bid at outsourcing sites on online data entry jobs and similar projects, here's how it works:
1. Go to the site, do a search for the kind of project you have in mind, data entry, typing, transcription work, or whatever.
2. Review the results of your search.
3. Read the description of requested project. Read careful! Decide if it's something you would want to do.
4. Register at the site (It's free), and place a bid on the project. State the price you want to get paid. Describe your skills and credentials.
Keep in mind that price may be a factor in winning the bid. If you charge less than others, you might get the job.
On the other hand, if you prove good qualities (especially later on, after having won some projects and gotten great feedback on your work), then you may be handed the work even if you're slightly more expensive.
5. Check back if you are given the project.
6. Acknowledge that you accept the job.
7. Follow directions carefully. Be reliable. Do a quality job and deliver the work on time.
8. Get paid.
Don't worry about payment, as the outsourcing service takes care of this part for you in exchange for a small percentage of your earnings from the job.
If you do a good job, you may get more, and by getting good feedback and reviews from people for your work, your bid may attract more buyers, so that you can get more online data entry jobs or similar work in the future.
