Online Typing Lesson 1
You start learning how to type by learning to type on the Home Row. The Home Row is the middle row of your keyboard. Take a look right now on your keyboard (yeh, at this stage, you may still look at your keyboard:-.
See? The middle row starts with the letter A to the left. It ends with the (,) at the right. This row is called the Home Row.
A good typing lesson will teach you not only how to type an A, or whatever letter, on the keyboard, but how to type the punctuations, like the comma (,) too. The Typing Master typing tutor will actually teach you this. It's a superb typingtutor.
Often, the first thing that you learn when you take a typing lesson with a typing tutor is how to type the Home Row. Why? Because the Home Row is like the base, the station where your typing fingers rest. Before and after typing a letter on the keyboard, your fingers should be placed on this row of keys.
From the Home Row, your fingers go out on their "missions" all over the keyboard. They're sent from the Home Row to the upper row, to the lower row, and also to the numbers row. Immediately after hitting the keys on any row, your fingers should get back to the "base" the Home Row.
