Rebate Processing, Typing Jobs and Real Online Work From Home Jobs
by: Anonymous

Hi Folks,

While we've been discussing here rebate processing jobs and I've posted myself some links in this thread to sites claiming to pay you for processing rebates at home, there was another frustrating message posted today in another submission in regard to an allegedly misleading and scaming "process rebates from home" site - read the story here.

I strongly suggest you to be very careful before you pull out your credit card to pay for sites promissing you to make a lot of money by doing easy things and to get rich overnight. Whether it's a typing job at home offer, a rebate-processing work site, or similar offers. Don't pay unless you're sure of what you're doing. Always do your research and make sure it's a legitimate offer.

While I've never done rebate processing at home jobs, I'm doing things every day to make money at home. I find that making money by answering surveys is NOT always a scam. Neither is getting paid for reading E-mails. In fact, I'm doing it almost daily. It's not much money, but in combination with doing surveys - for a cash payment, cash drawing or other rewards, as well as getting paid for completing offers (all these together are often offered by paid survey sites), one can make some little extra cash at home, and this IS easy and fun to do.

But I doubt it will make you rich, anyway.

In my experience, one of the best ways to really make money by doing what you love from home is the Site Sell system. And since it involves sharing your ideas passionately with others, your typing skills can come in very handy allowing you to type up your content pretty fast.

However, Site Sell is NOT "quick and easy," nor will you "get rich quickly overnight" from it. But it IS realistic and doable for the average person. It's completely true and legitimate and bears great potential. I'm now getting checks of hundreds of dollars every single month delivered to my mail box through it with doing very little work. It's quite different from all the scams around. It will not help you if still in the mindset of "making money on the Internet quickly and easily." You'll need to switch to "sharing my ideas passionately with other people and do what I really love." And you'll need to have the guts to pay $299.00 a year, which is about $29 a month. I don't care if that sounds too much, because I can now pay for that with less than I make back in just a single month with their proven and working system. I was also hesitant at first, but then I did it and I'll never regret it. I'm more than happy paying them every year again and again, because I'm making back much more, and that's more than just making a little money from home; it's like giving me a persent for life. Never was I that much happy with any other making money site around. Indeed, it's not like anything else, because it has zero hype to it.

Rebate Systems - A Rip Off
by: Anonymous

The whole rebate "system" is a racket. who pays the rebate company?

If it is the seller then why can't they just give you the price?

I have had enough rejected to learn the lesson: it is a scam.

Legit Online Job And Scams - Trying Products, Rebates, Typing...
by: Anonymous

Thanks for the info. I think on the Internet there are legit home work opportunities and scams. There are probably outsourcing sites where one can find typing and data entry jobs, but there are lots of typing jobs scams out there, I believe, where one promisses to give you a typing job, and what you get, after paying a fat price, is something quite differet.

I'm currently engaged in doing paid surveys online and I'm getting paid for taking the surveys and sometimes getting enrolled in drawings for cash prizes which for me is fun and an opportunity to get a few extra dollars for work at home. Now, I'm sure some would want to trick you into believing that this is a typing job too, since in the proccess of taking surveys on your computer, you're often typing words too... and same thing with this too, there are legit surveys to do and the scams, plenty of them. Some will promise to pay you for "trying products." What you get is a list offers to sign up for various companies and buy products from them and then get some money back, like .50 or so for a certain ammount of money spent at those companies. They call it getting paid for trying products or getting paid for shopping online, etc.. This, IMO, is nothing buy a scam. They cause you to sign up for companies to receive their offers and fill up you E-mail with loads of spam, and I'm sure they're getting kind of incentive from those companies in exchange of your sign up, and what you get is the opportunity to spend... and then, perhaps, get back a small amount of your spendings. Let's call it a "rebate..."

Thank you for the information.

I was seriously thinking of joining one of these rebate proccessing companies but wanted to do some research first.

Already Did This Rebate Proccessing Program
by: Anonymous

I actually joined that rebate proccessing at home program. Learn from my mistake and don't do it.

What you learn once you buy the program is that you have to sell things and the only rebate involved is the one that you give.

It is a total scam as it does not deliver what is promised and you can email them all you want to. No one will ever email you back.

Another Rebat Proccessing Site - $15 Each - 'You'd Never Make This Money With A Typing Job?'
by: Editor

I now came across another website promissing to pay you for completing rebates at home.

You'd need to read on their FAQ page how it works if you wish. As far as I understand, it's kind of a membership to learn how to get paid for proccessing rebates and perhaps to get the links to rebate proccessing companies.

It's similar to the other rebate job site that's been mentioned here in another post, but I think that one asked some $200+ bucks to join. But this one is $39 (discount of $79, but I guess you're likely to find this discount whenver you check:-).

I did not read through the whole sales letter. I suggest you ignore the bold headline claiming that you can make $200-$1,000/day, which in my mind is likely to be a large overstatement, although I did not check it out.

They *guarantee* that you can "process simple customer rebates from home and earn $15 each." They give you step-by-step training. They further tell you that it's "not your traditional data entry type job...You'd never make this kind of money with a typing job."

I must say that the illustrations of the forms to fill out is tempting to me. But my suggestion is that you don't get carried away of the big promisses. In my understanding, nothing is too easy, nothing too quick, and that you're not likely to get rich of this or similar things in any case.

What cooled me off a bit more was more to the bottom of the page stating that the training website "has dozens of programs, including ours." And there's a list of similar home jobs. "Including ours?" So, that's not just rebates? That caused me to become more skeptical.

There's a bit more information, however, in the FAQ page, writing that "your job is to process that rebate by verifying the information and submitting the rebate," and that it's no scam.

There's no phone nubmer listed, thus no person to talk to in real time. There is, however, an E_mail address and physical address listed.

I did not see a money back guarantee. The only guarantee they give is that you can proccess rebates from home and make $15 each. In the "terms & conditions," if I understood that right, they write that there's no refund. Thus, once you pay, you can't have your money back.

So, if you wish, Join Them at your own risk.

If anyone has had any experience with this rebate proccessing website, will you please stand up and share your story with us?

To Name Work At Home Scam Companies
by: Anonymous

I can't believe you people would trash anything on line without proof.

If you know the company is a rip off then tell everyone the NAME of it, so other people don't get ripped off.

Instead of complaining about it call the BBB and file a complaint so they can be shut down.

Get Paid To Read E-mails At Home?
by: Editor

Getting paid to read E-mails at home is one of the offers usually advertised by paid survey at home sites.

You'll see many of them around all over the Internet.

Whether does Internet paid survey websites are legitimate or scams is up to you to check out. There are definitely legit ones, and there are likely paid survey scams too.

If they are legitimate paid survey sites, it's still up to you to make sure that it's for you, and that they live up to what they promise. Don't get carried away by hype and get rich promises.

Often you'll see the ads calling you to get paid to take surveys, participate in focus groups, preview and test movies, drive a car, shop and eat, surf the web and read Emails.

Some ads announce opportunities to do home typist jobs at home, when often those are not what is usually intended by people looking for typing jobs at home.

When you answer a survey online, you probably type, but would you call this a typist job?

So, if and when you respond to typists jobs, paid survey ads, or offers to get paid for reading emails, do so with caution. Make sure you know what it involves.

Reference Jan 25 - About the Home Rebate Jobs
by: Anonymous

Chill....It's not that serious. Sounds like you are bitter because I didn't mention the name of the company. Never crossed my mind.

I don't have the name of the company anymore but I wish I did to ease your frustration. If I get another one in my inbox, I'll be sure to post it here just for you.

I never even tried the rebate job but I'm sure if I did and if it is legit, I could do it as I'm sure you could also.

You try and have a nice day and don't take life so serious.

Rebate Proccessing Jobs At Home - Scam Or Not?
by: Anonymous

Hi,

To the one who's submitted the "comment scam" comment no Jan 25 -

I agree with you, but unsure on who you're referring to.

If to the original submission, you'll see that the *editor* has ommited the name of the rebate proccessing site.

This, likely, because of detaching oneself from claims of commenters against other sites. I support this.

Does anyone know by chance if that's legally OK for people to publically name a site and accuse it of being a scam?

I agree with you generally that not everythign out there is a scam even if it has to do with claims to make money online.

For example, when I see typing jobs at home ads, or data entry jobs at home ads, I'm very much skeptical of those, especially when I see claims of making big money from home through it.

Those ads are very tempting. Scores of people are desperately looking for typing online jobs and home data entry jobs. They wish to do something easy from home either as a full time job or as a part time job. They're desparate to make a little extra income for their living.

There are those responding to this demand. At least in some of the cases I'm aware that those "job" have nothing with what's usually intended with "typing jobs," or "data entry jobs."

On the other hand, there are ads about other kinds of jobs. For example, to do surveys at home. Now I understand there might be scams around, but I do know there are people making money from surveys at home too.

So, not everything that has to do with making money at home is necessarily a scam.

Perhaps this is true also to the home rebate proccessing job that was mentioned elsewhere in these comments. Is is legit? Is it a scam? I really don't know. Have'nt checked it out. Just hope that if someone does care to sign up with them, they'll not be ripped off and will get back their money if they think it's not for them.

Rebate Proccessing Comment Sounds Like A Scam
by: Anonymous

If you are going to accuse someone of a scam, have the guts to mention who they are.

Sounds like you are bitter because you could not do the rebate proccessor job or understand it.

I find it very strange you say it's a scam and then leave out who it is.

Pocessing rebates from home - Is processing rebates online a scam?
by: Anonymous

Hey, if anyone has found legitimate online job oppurtunities out there where you can actually make money on it, then plese let us know.

The rebate processing from home job, in my opinion, is a rip off, no matter how you look at it. It did not deliver what was promissed.

Legit Rebat Jobs or Scams?
by: Anonymous

Well, I guess you did not give it a chance.

It's easy to say something is a scam, whether it's an on line typing job offer, a paid survey job, a rebate proccessing job, and the like.

It probably is, but perhaps not. For example, many people complain about paid survey scams. There are scams. But there are people truly making money from surveys.

There are legitimate comapnies, and there are rip offs. It *is* possible to make money from home. In fact, I make hundreds each and every month from typing online, affiliate programs and all the rest.

Doing this, I know there's a way to do it right and a way to get scammed and ripped off. You just have to know what you're doing, and you have to stay alert not to be fooled.

Regarding the link below to proccess rebates, they charge a big amount. But you have a name, a tel. I guess. You have a money-back guarantee I think. If you do, you can ask your money back.

With paid surveys and similar stuff, there are people who think it's not for them, but after signing up they postpone asking back their money or they forget their access codes or it's just too much of a hassle for them.

For $100 or $200 you have to be most careful. If you happen to sign up, keep your access code safe and remember where you put it in order to ask your money back if it's a money making scam.

I did not sign up for the rebate job. I'm making good money with other things, typing, affiliate programs etc., but if I'd sign up, I'd first call the listed tel., to see if it's a real phone # and a real person behind it and if the person sounds legit or is a rip off. I won't trust them, for this amount anyway, before I phone them personally.

Money From Home Sites - Legitimate or Not
by: Anonymous

Well, I tend to be skeptical too. However, sometimes I come acroos some making money from home sites where it seems somewhat convincing.

I take it all with a grain of salt, but am refraining from stating confidently that there's nothing to it. May be there is, especially when you see a name, a photo, a phone number, where the person is ready to talk to you and explain it, and when there's presented proof of income.

One such site I came across lately is such a home money making site, and here's a link to it.

What took me on that site is that there's the name and the phone number of the person willing to talk to you. You know who you're dealing with and there's his photo too. And moreover, there's a bold guarantee: if you don't get the results that he promisses, you'll get back "double the amount of your pay". Now he's talking.

Also, there's video training on how to earn from home with that system. Actually it's a flashy site with the all too familier yellow and red catchy headlines etc., but there's also proof of income of that person himself, which makes it more convincing.

Perhaps, if I'd have more time and a little spare money I'd go for it. Thing is I do have what to do. But if anyone happens to check it out or do it, I'd very much like to hear about their experience with them.

Too good to be true, of course.....
by: Anonymous

I tried something similar to process rebates at home offers, which made you purchase and pay for the "idea" of how to make money by proccessing rebates at home.

Then, once you got to that page, you had to purchase something else. which led to something else. It's a scam...
